BPAY Group ranked #2 on 2021 Australia’s Best Workplaces List

BPAY Group has been named as one of Australia’s Best Workplaces on this year’s list, ranking second in the Medium category (100-999 employees), by research and consulting firm Great Place to Work.

This is the second consecutive year that BPAY Group has made the list, moving up three places from the previous year.

In the last year, the mental health and wellbeing of employees were top priorities as the pandemic brought about ongoing restrictions. Several initiatives to drive connection were rolled out such as wellness workouts, meditation classes and daily stretch sessions.

To drive connection and inclusion, BPAY Group’s weekly all staff briefings have evolved from leadership team updates to becoming interactive sessions whereby employees can chat to each other, respond to polls, and hear from others in the business – allowing everyone to be seen and heard.

“Our people come first, always. We listen and truly take on their feedback. Embracing extreme flexibility was a logical step for us given the high levels of trust within the business and, we challenged ourselves to continue to drive inclusion and a sense of belonging to ensure a successful transition to hybrid working,” says Lucy Lithgow, Chief People Officer.

“It is an honour to be recognised as one of Australia’s best workplaces again this year. I’m immensely proud of the strong culture we have at BPAY Group and that 98% of our people believe that we are a Great Place to Work,” says CEO, John Banfield.
